"I was particularly thrilled with how
responsive usually "quiet" children were in the workshop." |
"The Lorax" by Dr Seuss, is a beautifully written
poem presented by two performers and workshop leaders that explores
aspects of the environment and citizenship curriculum.
Dr Seuss is famous for his creative and fun
language and The Lorax is no exception. The workshop involves all the
children in creating the characters in the poem and encourages play and
storytelling.
“The Lorax” was originally
performed by kind permission, as a one person show by Ava Hunt to over
5,000 young people for Roundabout Nottingham Playhouse, Buxton Opera
House, at Derbyshire Festivals for family audiences and schools
throughout the East Midlands.
