Tangere Arts is a theatre and drama in education organisation based in rural Derbyshire, which provides a wide range of theatre performances and educational workshops, mainly to children, young people and community audiences within the East Midlands Region.

David Johnston, Ava Hunt, Sally Siner and Gary Lagden are the driving force behind Tangere Arts and combine over 70 years of experience delivering high quality theatre, drama workshops and training in an innovative and fun way.  We regularly work with  17-18,000 young people and adults a year.

Tangere Arts works in association with various partners including: Derby Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse, Manchester Royal Exchange, Unicorn Children's Theatre, Derby City Education Authority, Derbyshire Health Authority, Creative Partnerships and Nottingham City Education Authority, Derby City NHS Mental Health Services (see Mental Health Project link)


Touring January 2009 - to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day:

Now booking: "I'm No Hero" a new multi media performance piece asking the question can any of us make a difference?  Two true stories woven together - Irena Sendler (died May 2008) saving 2,500 children from Nazi occupied Warsaw and Rachel Corrie who stood alongside ordinary Palestinians.  This new production will tour regionally in January 2009 to schools, theatres and community venues for touring dates or booking information please I'm No Hero page or contact the company.
